Advisor Perspective

The right decision feels different when no one is trying to sell you a lane.

Advisors come to us when the options all sound good on paper, but the long-term implications are harder to see. The goal is clarity before commitment.

What We Help You Navigate

Our Consulting Services

We work with financial advisors at every stage - whether you're exploring a platform change, building an independent RIA, or evaluating a sale, merger, or succession opportunity.

The 6C Alignment Framework

A better way to compare platform, buyer, and succession options.

Our methodology evaluates every firm across six critical dimensions to find where you'll thrive for the next 10, 15, or 20 years.

The 6C Framework guides every engagement - platform transitions, M&A evaluations, and succession planning - to ensure every decision is grounded in long-term alignment, not short-term economics.

Economics that make sense not only upfront, but over the life of the relationship.

C6

Capital

The capital resources, succession flexibility, and deal optionality available to your business.

Platform-Agnostic

We work with the top firms but aren't beholden to any. You see the full landscape, not one narrow lane.

02

Long-Term Focus

We optimize for where you'll thrive over the next 20 years, not just the biggest upfront check.

03

Completely Confidential

Explore options privately. Your current firm will never know unless you choose to move.

04

M&A & Succession Experience

Beyond platform transitions, we guide advisors through acquisitions, practice sales, and succession structures - evaluating not just economics, but long-term cultural and operational alignment.

Questions, Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers for advisors exploring their next move, evaluating a deal, or pressure-testing the timing of a change.

Do advisors pay for your services?
No. Our work with advisors on platform transitions is always at no cost to you. We are compensated by the firm or platform you ultimately join - which means our incentives are aligned with getting you the right outcome, not just any outcome. For M&A and practice sale engagements, we are compensated by the acquiring party. Either way, you never write us a check.
How long does the transition process take?
A typical broker-dealer transition takes 60-90 days from signing to your first day. We recommend starting exploration 4-6 months before your target move date.
Is my exploration confidential?
Absolutely. We never share your information with any firm without explicit permission. Your current firm won't know unless you decide to tell them.
What's the difference between an IBD and RIA?
An IBD allows commission-based sales plus fee-based accounts. An RIA operates as a fiduciary charging fees on AUM. Many advisors use a hybrid model with both.
Should I work with an independent consultant?
An independent consultant provides access to more opportunities, confidential exploration, and negotiation expertise. The key is choosing someone who represents your interests.
